Training

Preparation for Christian Faith Development

Every church seeks to prepare their members to face the challenges of living in the society, and to fulfill their spiritual and social responsibilities. Adequate preparations are needed to effectively meet these challenges. OHCC has several training tools to address this challenge. An effective vehicle is the adult Sunday school or Sunday morning interactive Bible study where regular weekly study of the Bible takes place. These classes are tailored to help believers engage biblical provisions to meet practical life issues. Classes are usually divided into small groups to enhance discussions. Sunday school holds at 9.30am for 40 minutes.

There are discipleship training classes (believers classes) where young believers are given necessary biblical teachings and guidance on their new faith. Classes also prepare students for water baptism. The classes take place at the same time as the adult Sunday school.

There are also the workers’ preparatory classes where volunteer workers training take place. All disciples are encouraged to enroll in these classes to facilitate their growth process and encourage their involvement in the church. The classes hold at the same time as the Sunday school classes.

Teachers who facilitate these classes are well trained and attend regular personal development training programmes. Sunday school day holds annually in July to raise awareness and recruit more teachers.
